What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient, natural therapy dating back over 5000 years which involves the application of gentle finger and thumb pressure techniques on specific reflex points to stimulate the body's detoxification and self-healing process.
How does it work?
Reflexology is done by applying pressure to stimulate the reflex areas of the feet. This pressure when applied to tight or gritty areas of the feet will stimulate the corresponding body part to begin healing itself.  The soles of the feet have over 7000 reflex points. These nerves can be traced to every structure and function of the body.  Stimulating this points in the body can alleviate symptoms and pains and can achieve wonderful results.

A program of regular treatments can help with:
  • Relief of tension caused by stress
  • Boosting the immune system
  • Improving circulation
  • Improving joint mobility
  • Relief of general aches and pains, such as back and joint pain, headaches and migraine
  • Reducing the occurrence of Migraines
  • Easing depression
  • PMS, Menopause, Sub-fertility & Maternity symptoms
  • Easing digestive problems, such as I.B.S
  • Relieving insomnia and sleep problems
  • Inducing a deep sense of relaxation
  • Improving the tone and condition of skin
  • Increasing energy levels and vitality
  • Eliminating toxins and impurities
  • Promoting the body's own self-healing
What to expect:

Your first appointment involves an initial consultation to develop a medical case history and discuss any health concerns. You will then be asked to remove only your shoes and socks before relaxing on a reclining chair.

Once you are comfortable, we start with a relaxing foot massage to open up the reflexes and help you to relax and unwind, your treatment will then commence.

I bring a reclining chair and music if you like, if you have your own recliner that also works.  I am scent free and offer essential oils at the end of the treatment if you like.  The entire session is very relaxing and soothing.

Will it tickle or hurt?

Reflexology doesn't tickle or hurt. During the treatment your feet are supported at all times, the grip is just firm enough not to tickle, but not too firm that it's uncomfortable.

Pressure is applied to the reflex points on the feet.. You may have an area that feels a little tender or sensitive, which may reflect that the corresponding area where your body may have an imbalnce.  I will work this reflex area with sensitivity to stimulate the body's healing process to rebalance the area.

Any questions please email me and we can arrange a telephone consult or email correspondence based on preference.
